Studying in Canada
Canada offers world-class education at universities, colleges, and technical institutes. A study permit allows international students to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs). We assist with initial permits, extensions, and transitions to work permits.
Eligibility Requirements
You need an acceptance letter from a DLI, a Provincial attestation letter (PAL) or Territorial attestation letter (TAL) (if applicable), proof of sufficient funds (tuition + minimum C$22,895+/year living expenses), and must satisfy the immigration officer that you will leave Canada after your authorized stay. A clean criminal record and medical exam may also be required.
Work While Studying
Students can work up to 24 hours per week off campus during academic sessions and full-time during scheduled breaks. This provides valuable Canadian work experience that can support future permanent residency applications.
Post-Graduation Work Permit
After completing a program at a DLI, graduates may be eligible for an open work permit valid for up to 3 years, depending on program length. This experience can support Express Entry or PNP applications for permanent residence.
